SOVATEC
Sovatec, founded in 1973, is a company specializing in the production of screens and meshes for material selection in quarries, mines and industry. With over 50 years of experience, Sovatec products have been exported from Stazzano, in the province of Alessandria, Italy, to more than 58 countries, being suitable for many applications in the industrial, agri-food, zootechnical and recycling sectors. In 2024, Sovatec was fully acquired by Dorstener Drahtwerke Group, an internationally operating family business based in Dorsten, Germany. Together with MSD of Barcelona and MDC of Santiago del Chile, Dorstener aims to become one of the leading global partners for the screening mesh industry.
Production
Sovatec offers a complete range of products, customizable to clients requirements. The proposed solutions include traditional screens in high-strength steel wire and stainless steel, anti-clogging screens, polyurethane and rubber screens, and perforated sheets.
Since its foundation, Sovatec has constantly expanded and modernized its production, adapting to technological developments and customer needs. The collaboration with leading manufacturers of screens and plants has allowed the company to develop effective solutions.
Applications
Sovatec screens are supplied ready for installation on machines of any brand, type and size, or in rolls and panels for subsequent processing or specific applications. The company has a large warehouse attached to the factory, with a wide selection of rolls and panels ready for immediate delivery, to respond promptly to customer urgencies.

Innovation
In recent years, Sovatec made significant investments to maintain its competitiveness in national, European and extra-European markets. These investments have particularly focused on:
- Automatic looms: The purchase of powerful and fast automatic looms, capable of producing extremely robust screens in a short time.
- Anti-clogging screens: The design and construction of looms for the production of anti-clogging screens in faster times and with better quality than in the past.
- New warehouse: The acquisition and equipping of a new warehouse to be used as a warehouse, in order to guarantee a better service to customers through extremely short delivery times.
- Polyurethane screens: The constant updating of the plant for the production of polyurethane screens, with the purchase of new machines suitable to guarantee levels of quality and efficiency required by an increasingly demanding market.
- MES system Sovatec to optimize its production adopted a MES system to monitor and plan production
